INTRODUCING THE GENERALS FUND

The Generals Fund is Grassland Middle School Parents’ Club’s biggest fundraising campaign of the school year. 100% of your generous donations go directly to enriching the educational experience of your children. The Parents’ Club works closely with the administration to bridge the gap between the funds provided by the District and the funds required to fulfill the school’s actual needs. School supplies, campus furniture, technology, teacher materials and professional development, software…it’s all funded by your generous donations.

INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION OF GENERALS 

Opening its doors in 1986, Grassland Middle School turns 40 this year!  To mark four decades of excellence in education at GMS and in anticipation of continuing the school’s legacy for another 40 years and beyond, we are setting a goal of 100% participation to collectively raise $40,000 in our Generals Fund campaign this year. We are asking you to consider a donation of $100 per student, but we welcome your donation of any size in helping us to reach our goal together! Your donation is 100% tax-deductible and will go directly to the school.

WHAT WILL THIS YEAR’S DONATIONS FUND? 

This year your donations to The Generals Fund will go to the following and more:

TREES! The Tennessee Environmental Council will contribute, direct and organize volunteers to plant 100 native trees around our school campus if we match half the funds.

A SHADY PLACE TO BE TOGETHER: The school is looking to create a covered/shaded outdoor “play” area between the school and the softball field for the students to enjoy when they are outside, including during General Time, the middle-school “recess” when they all gather for downtime together during the school day.

TEACHER NEEDS/CLASSROOM SUPPLIES: It’s a fact that our teachers’ classrooms do not come equipped with all their needed materials and supplies. A portion of The Generals Fund will help equip our teachers with additional classroom and art supplies and curriculum to meet their unanticipated needs during the school year.
