Hello, Grassland Generals!
My name is John Griffith, and I have the honor to serve as your Parents’ Club (PTO) president this school year.
The Parents’ Club exists to support GMS teachers, staff, students, and parents. We have many volunteer opportunities available throughout the year. Please be sure to complete theVolunteer Opportunities form to let us know how you would like to get involved. Volunteering your time is an incredible way to support our teachers and administrators and to get to know other parents!
The Parents’ Club also raises money to better our school. Our Invest campaign is our primary fundraiser. Through the generous donations of our GMS families, we are able to donate every dollar to Grassland Middle School to be spent on laptops, Smart Boards, academic supplies, arts, sports and building improvements. You can donate to our campaign at any time through the Invest in Your General online form.
As we prepare for another amazing year there are different events and fun times to look forward to, from our General's Fair, to our amazing Fan Fest all the way to the one and only General's Dash 5k in the spring. We look forward to meeting you, and supporting the teachers, students and staff all year long.
Keep your eyes peeled for weekly emails about what is coming next during the year, and please do not hesitate to reach out directly with questions or our available volunteering opportunities. (615-484-5063 is my direct phone number)
Lastly, we host monthly meetings in the school that you all are welcome to attend to get a glimpse into what it takes to support the school, and raise your hand to help out.
